1.
In the bleak midwinter Frosty wind made moan Earth stood hard as iron Water like a stone Snow had fallen Snow on snow, snow on snow In the bleak midwinter Long, long ago What can I give him Poor as I am If I were a shepherd I would bring a lamb If I were a wise man I would do my part Yet what I can I give him I can give my heart In the bleak midwinter Frosty wind made moan Earth stood hard as iron Water like a stone Snow had fallen Snow on snow, snow on snow In the bleak midwinter Long, long ago
2.
Silent night, the stars up high Shining for you tonight Miles and miles of open highway Are calling you tonight Calling you home for Christmas Day Calling you home for the holidays Calling you home, home to stay Counting days and counting ways To get you back my dear If not now then somehow We’ll get you here next year Calling you home for Christmas Day Calling you home for the holidays Calling you home, home to stay Be there snow or mistletoe Or lights on every tree May you know, may my heart show How loved you are by me Calling you home for Christmas Day Calling you home for the holidays Calling you home, home to stay I’m calling you home for Christmas Day Calling you home for the holidays Calling you home, home to stay
3.
I'll have a blue Christmas without you I'll be so blue just thinking about you Decorations of red on a green Christmas tree Won't be the same dear, if you're not here with me And when those blue snowflakes start falling That's when those blue memories start calling You'll be doing all right with your Christmas of white But I'll have a blue, blue Christmas And when those blue snowflakes start falling That's when those blue memories start calling You'll be doing all right with your Christmas of white But I’ll have a blue, blue Christmas
4.
Have yourself a merry little Christmas Let your heart be light Next year all our troubles will be out of sight Have yourself a merry little Christmas Make the Yuletide gay Next year all our troubles will be miles away Once again as in olden days Happy golden days of yore Faithful friends who are dear to us Will be near to us once more Someday soon we all will be together If the fates allow Until then we’ll have to muddle through somehow So have yourself a merry little Christmas now Someday soon we all will be together If the fates allow Until then we’ll have to muddle through somehow So have yourself a merry little Christmas now

about

JUNO Award-winning singer-songwriter Catherine MacLellan's debut collection of holiday songs, aptly titled Holiday. The album includes her original single "Calling You Home (for the Holidays)", and three beloved classics ("In The Bleak Midwinter", "Blue Christmas", and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas").

The EP is self-engineered and self-produced, mixed by Adam Gallant, and mastered by David Travers-Smith.
"I’ve always wanted to make a record to celebrate the holiday season and I hope to make a series of these small, bite-sized collections;" says Catherine.

Although Catherine grew up in studios and has made eight records, this marks the first time that she's played the role of engineer, producer, and side musician, performing most instruments on the EP. "It was such a joy to make this record; I hope that Holiday can accompany you during the coming festive season."

Each new song on the EP is complimented with an official video. Watch below. Catherine shares this about the original single; "I wrote “Calling You Home (for the Holidays)” during Christmas 2020, feeling very far from family and friends that would normally gather around my kitchen table for feasts and laughter. This song is a reminder to reach out to those dear to you. When we can’t be with those we love, we can connect on the phone, in letters, or in spirit."
